Gurelan scores 65/100 on EcoVadis: Recognized commitment to sustainability
Gurelan has been evaluated by EcoVadis, obtaining a score of 65/100 and ranking in the 78th percentile. This result acknowledges our commitment to sustainability and places us among the top 35% of companies worldwide.
At Gurelan, we are deeply aware of the impact our operations have on the environment. That is why, for some time now, we have integrated sustainability into the way we work. This commitment has recently been evaluated by EcoVadis, the world’s leading provider of business sustainability ratings.
As a result, Gurelan has achieved a global score of 65/100 and is ranked in the 78th percentile, meaning our performance is equal to or better than 78 % of the companies assessed by EcoVadis. This score places us in the Top 35 % of companies worldwide in terms of sustainability, within the metal casting sector.
What is EcoVadis and what does it assess?
EcoVadis is a SaaS platform offering tools to assess, measure, and improve the sustainability performance of companies of all sizes and sectors. Its rating system is based on four key pillars:
- Environment
- Labor & human rights
- Business ethics
- Sustainable procurement
The scorecards are practical and visual, helping identify both strengths and areas for improvement within each organization. The score is out of 100, and based on the results, a recognition in the form of a medal may be awarded (in our case, bronze medal).
What have we done at Gurelan to achieve this?
To complete this assessment, we had to carry out an exhaustive process of documentation collection and internal analysis. EcoVadis allowed us to reflect our sustainability policies and practices in a structured and objective way.
This process involved:
- Systematizing our practices related to the environment, safety, ethics, and labor relations
- Identifying and documenting our current strengths
- Detecting real improvement opportunities and planning future actions
