Gurelan attended the 2025 Iberian Foundry Congress

On 23 and 24 October, Gurelan attended the Iberian Foundry Congress held in Zaragoza, a key meeting point for the sector where the challenges and opportunities for the future of foundry in the Iberian Peninsula were discussed.

On 23 and 24 October, Gurelan attended the Iberian Foundry Congress 2025, held at the Hotel Hiberus in Zaragoza. This event, organised by the Spanish Federation of Foundry Associations (FEAF) and FUNDIGEX, in collaboration with the Portuguese Foundry Association (APF) and FUNDIPRESS magazine, has established itself as one of the main meeting points for foundry companies and suppliers in the sector in the Iberian Peninsula.

Over the course of two days, the congress brought together representatives from across the foundry value chain, combining technical presentations, expert panels and a face-to-face exhibition area, where companies and professionals shared experiences, projects and innovative solutions.

The programme included topics of great relevance to the future of the sector, such as the current situation of foundry in Europe, sustainability and industrial decarbonisation, and the role of artificial intelligence applied to foundry processes.

Strategic aspects of global geopolitics, people management and supply chain protection were also addressed, with the participation of prominent speakers from organisations such as The European Foundry Federation, Tecnalia, Fagor Ederlan and Ebroacero.

In addition, the ‘face to face’ space allowed for direct meetings between companies, strengthening commercial relationships and fostering new opportunities for collaboration within the sector.

At Gurelan, we greatly value this experience, which reinforces our commitment to innovation, sustainability and the continuous development of the foundry industry, both in Spain and Europe.
