Gurelan offers the possibility of producing parts in either zamak or magnesium using the same mould, without any extra costs for the client in migrating from one alloy to the other.
We produce all kinds of zamak part, being specialised in parts with high quality surface finish and difficult technical parts, such as those with very thin walls. We can offer parts from 0 to 2.500 grams, and with added operations of machining (threading, milling etc.)
In magnesium we cast parts up to 800 grams, in similar designs and conditions to zamak. It is an interesting alternative to heavy zamak or aluminium parts.
AUTOMOTIVE: The interest of automotive industry in zamak parts is relative, due to its density. They often have complicated shapes or decorative finishes. Magnesium is an interesting option for this sector, fot the great reduction of weight that it implies.- LOCKMITHING: Many locksmithing parts are external and require decorative finishes. This demands for high quality surfaces that minimise their ensuing treatment and obtain the maximum corrosion resistance.
